Fine Arts

Extra-curricular programs are an integral part of student life at Hamburg School. Our primary goal is to enhance the academic, social and emotional development of our student body through offering a variety of athletic, artistic, literary, and musical activities. After school activities promote time management skills; allows for exploration of diverse interests; builds self esteem, teamwork abilities, and goal setting. The Hamburg School encourages our students to become involved.

Drama Club is an engaging activity for students in grades 5–8 that runs from February through April. Throughout the season, students will attend rehearsals, memorize lines and songs, and collaborate with their peers to prepare for the school musical performance in April. Practices will be held Monday through Thursday from 3:00–5:00 p.m.

Students may participate either as performers on stage or as members of the stage crew, helping with the many behind-the-scenes responsibilities that bring a production to life. Every role is essential to the success of the show and provides valuable opportunities for learning and growth.

Through participation in Drama Club, students will develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork, creativity, empathy, and strong communication skills while gaining an appreciation for the performing arts.
